The vesica piscus shape is repeated throughout this work from the mirrored 'leaves' to the object that they form when suspended in space and the intersection of the shadows and lights on the floor.

Be it as leaves on a tree or a seed that forms, this shape reappears through out nature to mark a portal between two spaces. It manifests as the human eye and mouth, which act as an interface to the body and the external world. We enter the world through a vesica piscus, and when we die, our coffin bears the same shape.
